Quality Time

All smiles in this photo!
My gorgeous man and I.
I've put this page together using a few different mediums card stock, paper, wood, metal and cotton and glass buttons, pearl gems and glitter.
Always Artichoke - (love that colour) is the back ground colour I have used with this beautiful layout then a sheet of non-Stamin' Up! designer paper, which I distressed with the Stampin' Up! distressing kit, then about a third of and inch in from the edge of the DSP I've used my sewing machine and sewen a zig zag border   using a almost perfectly matched silk thread to Always Artichoke.
I have made the little spiral flowers using various Circle Punches and simply cutting them into a spiral and curling them in a tight roll. I have then daubed them with Craft Ink in Whisper White and added a pearl. The leaves behind the flowers is made using the Little Leaves Sizzlit die, I have then folded and daubed the leaes to make them appear more natural.

I made the flowers using the Fancy Flower punch, daubed the edges and then glossed them with Crystal Effects.  I wanted to add a touch of luxury and gloss to the lay out and chose colours to complement the colours in the photo. By interspersing the flowers with Little Leaves and spiral flowers it adds texture and balance to the page.
I build the lattice behind the photo mount out of grunge board and old card stock, The filigree embellishment is non-Stampin' Up! but I have daubed it with Stampin' Up! colours to tie it in with the project.  The little bird and other metallic elements were just items I had been saving for the right project.

Enjoy!
